ADA Compliant Push Pull Door Hardware Set
Tahoma storefront door pull handle and push bar combinations are designed to mount to any storefront door. The straight pull handle is designed to install on the outside of the storefront door and connects through the door to a heavy duty interior door side mounted push bar. Each Tahoma pull handle and push bar is commercial grade and manufactured from 1" diameter solid aluminum, so bending or denting will not occur even on the most abusive storefront entrance doors. Tahoma storefront door pull handles and push bar combination sets are class 1 anodizing providing an overall finish protection as well as UV protection.
ADA Compliance
ADA, or the American Disabilities Act, was a law passed in 1990 to ensure equal accessibility for all. The guidelines must be followed by all commercial buildings. Unfortunately, in today's market there are many imported pull handles and push bars being offered for very inexpensive prices, that do not meet the ADA guidelines. This is most likely because they are manufactured in countries which do not follow or have these guidelines set into place. If you are a building owner or contractor, when you purchase a Tahoma storefront door handle, you can have the peace of mind knowing that our products are ADA compliant and Building Code Compliant.
Push Pull Door Hardware Set Installation
The Tahoma storefront door straight pull handle and push bar combination can be retrofitted to replace any existing storefront door straight pull handle and push bar set. Tahoma straight pull handles come in the 3 standard center to center mounting measurements used in the storefront door industry, which are 9", 10", and 12". While the interior door side mounted push bar is available for 36" or 48" wide storefront doors. If your storefront door has an oddball center to center measurement for the straight pull handle, then a standard Tahoma straight pull handle can still be installed by simply drilling new center to center holes in the door stile. The old, existing mounting holes from the non-standard pull handle can be filled with bondo and then re-sprayed with touch up paint. If the door has an oddball door width such as 44", unfortunately there is no way to retrofit the push bar for a custom size width, as the push bar cannot be cut due to the bends. In that case, a custom size pull handle and push bar combination is your only solution.

Push Pull Door Hardware Set Center To Center Measurement
The center to center measurement is the distance between the centerline of the top portion of the pull handle and the bottom portion. Refer to the product image for an illustration.
Push Bar Style
The push bar portion mounts to the interior side of the commercial door. The common end of the push bar is bent and attaches to the top of the pull handle with back to back hardware. The non-common side of the push bar is available with either a bend or no bend.
Push Pull Door Hardware Set Mounting Types
With combination pull handle and push bar sets there are a variety of mounting methods.
Back To Back Mounting For Connecting The Common End Of The Pull Handle To The Push Bar
The common end of the pull handle and push bar refers to the top part of the pull handle that meets or connects to the push bar. This connection point is on the lock stile of the storefront door. Back to back mounting hardware is standard for where the pull handle and push bar meet together.
Thru-Bolt or Concealed Mounting Hardware For Free End Of Pull Handle and Push Bar
The free end of the pull handle refers to the bottom part of the pull handle that does not connect with the push bar. Likewise the free end of the push bar refers to the end of the push bar on the hinge or pivot stile that does not connect to the pull handle. The free ends can be installed with thru-bolt mounting hardware or concealed mounting hardware.
Tahoma Thru Bolt Mounting
Thru bolt mounting uses a heavy duty thru bolt designed to connect the handle or push bar through the door. A finished thru bolt head is visible on the opposite side of the door stile. Thru bolt mounting is standard for all door manufacturers. Please refer to the product image for reference.
Tahoma Concealed Mounting
Concealed mounting uses a heavy duty bolt that attaches to the door stile. A concealed set screw at the bottom of the handle or push bar holds the pull handle or push bar on the bolt. No visible bolt head is on the opposite side of the door stile. Please refer to the product image for reference.
Tahoma All Glass Door Thru Bolt Mounting
This option allows you to mount the bottom of the pull handle and the non-common side of the push bar directly on glass up to 1/2" thickness. Includes thru-bolt fasteners with finished button caps.
