Commercial Door Electric Strike Lock Designed For Automatic Locking Applications
The majority of commercial doors, hollow metal steel or wood, use a standard 1-1/4" x 4-7/8" ASA strike plate with a cylindrical door lock. In fact, the standard strike prep used with cylindrical locks is known as an ASA strike prep and is the industry standard for major door and frame manufacturers like Curries, Ceco, Steelcraft, Amweld, and many others. The American Entrance Controls electric strike was specifically designed for installation on steel or wood door frames with an ASA strike plate. This electric strike features an adjustable keeper and is non handed. It's reliable solenoid will last for years to come and is why building owners and door professionals choose American Entrance Controls over other brands.
How It Works
When the American Entrance Controls electric strike lock is installed on a hollow metal door steel frame, the electric strike lock keeps the door secured and locked at all times by holding the cylindrical lock's latchbolt inside of the electric strike keeper. When the electric strike is activated, the electric strike keeper automatically releases the cylindrical lock's latchbolt, allowing the door to swing open freely.
